Why You Should Visit Reprocover at InnoTrans 2024

Driving Circularity in Train Rolling Stock and Infrastructure with Recycled Composites

Reprocover is proud to announce our participation at InnoTrans 2024 in Berlin, the world’s leading trade fair for transport technology. This year, our focus is on revolutionizing the use of composite materials in train rolling stock and infrastructure to make them more circular and locally sourced.

Composites offer incredible strength and durability, making them ideal for transportation applications. However, they are rarely recycled today. At Reprocover, we’re committed to changing that by advancing recycling and local production, creating solutions that promote circularity without sacrificing the high performance of composites.

Why Visit Us at InnoTrans?

Here’s why you should stop by our stand at Hall 11.2, Stand 240 to learn about our latest innovations:

1. Our Award-Winning RTP Technology

We’re thrilled to showcase our RTP technology, which has recently won the #Plastiwinner prize 🏆 and was recognized at JEC Paris. This groundbreaking technology offers:

  • Enhanced Durability: High-performance solutions that are designed to last, providing opportunities for co-development.
  • Lightweight and Functional: Our products are easier to install and handle, while retaining exceptional strength.
  • Sustainability: With over 30% fiberglass content, our products are made from recycled composites, supporting circular production models.
  • Cost Efficiency: Competitively priced solutions offering excellent value for money.

2. Innovation in Access Chambers

We’re also excited to present our custom-made Access Chamber, developed for a partner in the water segment. This chamber is:

  • Manually placeable, compact, and easily stored, making it highly versatile.
  • Extremely durable and made from recycled composite, ideal for companies looking for sustainable solutions.
  • Flexible in design, compatible with iron covers like EJ or virgin composite covers.

This innovation exemplifies how recycled composite materials can meet industry needs while reducing environmental impact. It’s perfect for sectors looking for lightweight yet robust solutions. Let’s explore how these solutions can fit your specific requirements!

3. Modular Level Crossing for Light Traffic

Our third innovation focuses on modular level crossings made from RTS material, which we’ve been offering for over a decade. This solution is ideal for light traffic or pedestrian use, particularly in tunnels where its fire resistance and lightweight properties make it superior to traditional materials like rubber.

However, recognizing the need for stronger solutions for heavier traffic, we’ve developed a new level crossing model in collaboration with Bastien, designed for:

  • Improved material properties and flexibility to adapt to various terrain conditions.
  • Faster and easier installation, allowing for more efficient setup even with cranes.

This innovative model has been selected for the World Innovation Guide at InnoTrans, highlighting its potential to transform rail infrastructure. Additionally, it’s undergoing digital modeling (digital twin) simulations with our partner GDTech and supported by MecaTech, helping us accelerate product development and minimize costly failures.
